1. What Ilica is

Ilica operates a platform (ilica.in, host.ilica.in, and the ilicaX property management tools) that connects property owners ("hosts") with people looking to rent a property or book a homestay stay ("guests"). By using Ilica, you agree to these terms.

2. Who can use Ilica

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding agreement to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your phone number and account access secure.

3. For guests

• You can browse and request Rentals for free.
• Connecting with a Rental owner requires either your first free connection, or a Connect Pass (₹49, valid 10 days, unlimited connects during that window) after that.
• Booking a homestay stay requires a ₹100 deposit to confirm the request with the host. This deposit is non-refundable — see our Refund Policy for details.
• The remaining balance for a stay is paid directly to the host, typically in cash or UPI on arrival — Ilica does not collect or hold this payment.
• Information you provide (including guest names and, where legally required, an ID photo at check-in) must be accurate.

4. For hosts

• You're responsible for the accuracy of your listing — price, amenities, photos, and availability.
• You're responsible for honoring bookings you accept, and for complying with any local tourism, safety, or guest-registration regulations that apply to your property.
• Using ilicaX (the homestay management dashboard) requires a subscription after a 30-day free trial. See our Refund Policy for billing and cancellation terms.
• You're solely responsible for the safety, legality, and condition of your property. Ilica does not inspect, certify, or guarantee any listing.

5. Fees

Current fees are shown on the app and on host.ilica.in. We'll give reasonable notice before changing fees for existing users where required by law.

6. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Provide false information about yourself, a guest, or a property
• Use the platform to arrange a booking and then complete payment entirely outside it in order to avoid fees, where a connection was facilitated through Ilica
• Harass, discriminate against, or misrepresent yourself to another user
• Attempt to access another user's account or another host's guest data
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose

7. Account suspension

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, provides fraudulent information, or poses a safety risk to other users. Where practical, we'll explain why.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Ilica provides the platform "as is." We do not guarantee that a listing is accurate, that a guest or host will honor their side of an agreement, or that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ilica is not liable for disputes between guests and hosts, for the condition or safety of a listed property, or for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of Ilica after an update means you accept the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Assam.
